It has been reported that satellite images suggests that the Yongby
on nuclear complex is producing plutonium for weapons. On August 31 it show white steam rising near to the building where the plutonium reactors turbines are located. This reactor can produce 13.2 pounds of plutonium a year. It is believed that the reactor is soon to be nearing operation. As of right now there hasn't been a comment from The International Atomic Agency (IAEA). The Yongbyon reactor hasn't been in operation since 2008. In 2008 they destroyed its cooling tower in hopes for political respect. Experts say that it may take up to a half of a year to get the reactor running if it hasn't been damaged from years of no activity.
